Ivan Altamirano

General Manager

Hospitality veteran Ivan Altamirano grew up in Mexico City, and worked in various restaurants over the world including Mexico City Mexicp, Paris France, Shenyang China, Mo'orea French Polynesia, New York City and Nashville before heading to Franklin, Tennessee, to bring his robust and well-rounded industry knowledge to Culaccino as general manager. With more than 15 years of experience, Altamirano fell in love with the restaurant world soon after he started helping with his family restaurant. After a brief time at the Universidad del Valle De Mexico UVM, Ivan realized that he wanted to pursue hospitality full-time and finished his bachelors degree in Hotel Management while working in different restaurants. Altamirano moved his way up the restaurant ranks while working different jobs and entered into a career serving position at Park Hyatt Paris Vendome, a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Paris, from 2013-2015. He then took his talents to Hotel Americano in New York City as a restaurant manager, where he spent a year before taking on a role as Beverage Director at Reserve Cut located in Wall St. After the pandemic, Altamirano decided to relocate to Tennessee with his wife Egle and daughter Skaila to continue his path in hospitality opening The Twelve Thirty Club in Nashville. Now at Culaccino, Altamirano helps cultivate a great guest experience for everyone who walks through the doors. A people pleaser at heart, Ivan loves the pace of life on the floor and the energy of a busy night—and the core of his job is to make people happy. In his spare time, Ivan can be found dining his way around Nashville, kayaking trough the Tennessee rivers, or simply relaxing at home spending some quality time with his family and pets.
