Matthew Lawson began working in restaurants at the age of 16 and has happily landed in Franklin as Culaccino's Bar Manager.
Born in Virginia and raised in Chickamauga, Georgia, Lawson studied at Georgia State University before focusing more fully on the world of professional hospitality. Prior to joining Culaccino, Lawson worked in an array of beverage positions including Beverage Director at Hotel Distil in Louisville, Lead Bartender at The Edwin Hotel, and Experimental Distillery Manager at. Chattanooga Whiskey. A nationally competitive and published bartender, Lawson has spent the past five years focusing his attention on the beverage operations side of the business. His approach to understanding and uniting the unique flavors of food and beverage in an approachable manner is what drives him to create award-winning cocktails.
When he's not behind the bar, you can find Lawson cooking, climbing, or relaxing by a campfire.
